Comparison

UserAuthGuard vs OneToOnePlus

OneToOnePlus records where devices should be. UserAuthGuard enforces where they're allowed to go. Same features, real enforcement, lower price.

The Short Version

OneToOnePlus is a solid K-12 asset management platform used by thousands of districts for device tracking, help desk ticketing, invoicing, and inventory. But at its core, it's a database that records device assignments and repair history. UserAuthGuard does the same operational work — ticketing, inventory, repair workflows, invoicing — but adds something OneToOnePlus cannot: actual device policy enforcement through Google Workspace. When a student loses a Chromebook, OneToOnePlus updates a record. UserAuthGuard locks the device in under 60 seconds with no technician action required. And we do it for up to 35% less per student, with a free tier to start.

The Core Difference

OneToOnePlus records what happened. UserAuthGuard enforces what should happen.

OneToOnePlus

UserAuthGuard

  • 🔒 Enforces assignments at the Google Workspace level
  • 🔒 Auto-locks lost devices via OU in under 60 seconds
  • 🔒 Zero-trust: policies enforced regardless of human action
  • 🔒 No agents needed — works through Google Admin API
  • 🔒 Self-serve setup in under 2 hours

Why Districts Switch from OneToOnePlus

🔒

Enforcement, Not Just Record-Keeping

OneToOnePlus tells you where a device should be. UserAuthGuard tells Google where a device is allowed to go — and enforces it automatically. When a student loses a Chromebook, OneToOnePlus updates a spreadsheet. UserAuthGuard locks the device in under 60 seconds, with no technician action required.

Patented Technology

2-Hour Setup vs. Multi-Week Implementation

OneToOnePlus requires weeks of professional services, data migration, and training. UserAuthGuard connects to your Google Workspace and imports your entire device fleet in under 2 hours. No consultants. No migration fees. No waiting.

Self-Serve
💰

Free Tier for Pilots

OneToOnePlus has no free plan. UserAuthGuard offers a free tier for up to 100 devices — perfect for pilots and small schools. No credit card, no sales call, no commitment. Try it before you buy it.

No Agents. No MDM Dependency.

OneToOnePlus requires MDM agents on every device and depends on third-party MDM integrations for device control. UserAuthGuard works directly through the Google Admin API — nothing to install, nothing to maintain, nothing that can break.

Zero-Trust Architecture
👁

Student Safety Built In

OneToOnePlus has zero monitoring capability. UserAuthGuard's Enterprise+ plan includes screen time analytics, keyword safety alerts, content blocking, and real-time screen view — tools for classroom management and student safety that would cost thousands extra from a separate vendor.

Enterprise+ Exclusive

SendGuard: Nothing Else Like It

SendGuard lets districts control which external contacts students can email through Google Workspace. No other K-12 ITAM platform — including OneToOnePlus — offers anything remotely similar. It's a capability that only exists in UserAuthGuard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does UserAuthGuard do that OneToOnePlus can't?

The biggest difference is enforcement. OneToOnePlus records device assignments in a database. UserAuthGuard enforces them at the Google Workspace infrastructure level through patented OU locking technology. When you assign a device in UserAuthGuard, it's bound to a specific organizational unit in Google Workspace — meaning the device's policies, filtering rules, and access controls are enforced automatically. OneToOnePlus cannot do this because it doesn't operate at the infrastructure level. Additionally, UserAuthGuard offers browser-based monitoring (screen time, keyword alerts, content blocking) and SendGuard, which has no equivalent anywhere in the K-12 ITAM market.

We already use OneToOnePlus. How hard is it to switch?

UserAuthGuard connects directly to your Google Workspace via the Admin SDK and imports your entire device fleet automatically. There's no manual data migration — your devices, users, and organizational structure come in through the API. Most districts are fully operational within 2 hours. You can also start with our free tier (up to 100 devices) to test alongside OneToOnePlus before committing.

Does UserAuthGuard have all the same ticketing and invoicing features?

Yes. UserAuthGuard includes a full help desk with email-to-ticket, priority and escalation, technician routing, internal notes, a knowledge base, and satisfaction surveys. For invoicing, we offer invoice generation from tickets or devices, Stripe-powered online payments, quote-to-invoice workflows, and purchase order management. The key difference: when a repair ticket is opened in UserAuthGuard, the associated device can be automatically identified and linked via Google Admin — no manual lookups required.

What about SIS integrations? We use PowerSchool.

UserAuthGuard has PowerSchool integration with Google Classroom roster sync running hourly. We're actively expanding our SIS integrations, with Clever (covering 60%+ of U.S. districts) coming soon. OneToOnePlus has a broader current SIS partner list, but UserAuthGuard's integrations go deeper — when a student withdraws in your SIS, UserAuthGuard can automatically move their device to a locked OU. OneToOnePlus can only update a database record.

OneToOnePlus has a mobile app. Does UserAuthGuard?

We're building a Progressive Web App (PWA) with camera-based QR scanning, mobile ticket management, and offline support. This is one area where OneToOnePlus currently has an edge with their native iOS and Android apps. However, our web interface is fully responsive and works well on mobile devices today.

Is UserAuthGuard really free for small districts?

Yes. Our free plan supports up to 100 devices with full device management features — 1:1 assignment, OU management, repair tracking, and more. No credit card required. No time limit. No sales calls. OneToOnePlus has no free plan, with pricing starting at around $1,000/year even for the smallest districts. This makes UserAuthGuard ideal for pilots, small schools, and districts that want to try before they buy.

What is OU locking and why should I care?

Organizational Units (OUs) in Google Workspace control which policies apply to a device — including Wi-Fi settings, app restrictions, Chrome extensions, and content filtering rules. If a device gets moved out of its assigned OU (whether accidentally by an admin or deliberately by a savvy student), all those policies stop applying. UserAuthGuard's patented OU locking prevents unauthorized OU changes, keeping your security and compliance policies enforced 24/7. OneToOnePlus can read OU data but cannot prevent devices from being moved — it's the fundamental architectural difference between the two platforms.

How does pricing work for larger districts?

UserAuthGuard offers competitive per-student pricing that scales with your district size, plus a free tier for up to 100 devices that OneToOnePlus doesn't offer. Contact us for a custom quote — we'll match or beat your current OneToOnePlus pricing while delivering features (OU enforcement, monitoring, SendGuard) that they don't offer at any price.

Everything OneToOnePlus does. Plus actual enforcement. For less.
